“A Star is Born” Leads Nominations for the Annual Online Association of Female Film Critics (OAFFC) Awards

– The Online Association of Female Film Critics (OAFFC) announced today the nominees for their annual Best of the Year awards.  The winners will be revealed Thursday, December 13.

“A Star is Born” leads all films this year with 8 nominations including Best Film, Lady Gaga for Best Female Lead, Sam Elliott for Best Supporting Male, Matthew Libatique for Best Cinematography, and Bradley Cooper, who picked up three nominations for Best Director, Best Male Lead, and Best Adapted Screenplay.

“The Favourite” was a close second with 7 nominations, including Best Film, Yorgos Lanthimos for Best Director, Olivia Colman for Best Female Lead, Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz both for Best Supporting Female, Deborah Davis and Tony McNamara for Best Original Screenplay, and Robbie Ryan for Best Cinematography.

“Widows” and “Roma” garnered 4 nods each, “Eighth Grade” earned 3, and “First Man” received 2. The full list of nominees is below.

  1. I LOVE A Star Is Born. I wish Mary Queen Of Scots had been out earlier for people to vote. I thought the film is beautiful and affecting, and both Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie are phenomenal!
