John Wick lover (my dog is called Daisy) and Gerard Butler apologist (I gave “Geostorm” 3.5 stars out of 5), I run my own film website which focuses on film reviews, interviews and articles.
I’m in the UK but I try to visit an international film festival every year (New York and Cannes so far), which is much more fun than simply burning money even if the effects on my bank balance are the same.
I regularly mix up actors who share some of the same letters in their names even if in a different order, for example Taron Egerton and Ansel Elgort, and I’m convinced there’s a very busy actress called Alison Brie Larson.
My favourite cinema-going experience was when I took my children to see a film, and the trailer for “Despicable Me 3” came on. The eruption of hysterical laughter, seat-bouncing, and popcorn-spilling from 100 small children when a naked Gru got stuck in a balloon was like the Globe Theatre for 5 year olds, and completely delightful.
